Why GEMS?

Why GEMS?

GEMS Education was founded as Global Education Management Systems (GEMS) in the year 1959. With a rich experience of 60 years in the education world we have come together with the mission to provide quality education to every child.

Core values

Academic performance is important for many reasons. It can open the door to opportunity and pave the way for future success, both in higher education and professionally; however, we believe a values-based, international education is of equal importance.

GEMS Teachers

Great teachers inspire great students. That’s why at GEMS Education, we pay close attention to how we train and support both our new and experienced educators. We know just how rewarding a teaching career can be, when educators have the right support and opportunities to develop.
Great teachers inspire great students. That’s why from simple roots in a family of teachers, GEMS Education is an international company with a mission to provide quality education to all.

GEMS Parents

At GEMS schools all over the globe, you’ll find GEMS parents joining in and supporting their child’s learning, both in the classroom and at home. Inspired by a whole world of mums, dads, grandparents, guardians and careers, we’ve put together some great resources and regular activities to engage and involve you.

Global classrooms

We believe the diversity of the students studying at our schools is one of our greatest strengths. Through social interaction and by studying and experiencing other cultures and belief systems, this rich diversity will instill a unique international understanding in your child – just what they need to succeed in an increasingly globalized world.

New ways to learn

  • We are always looking to find new and creative ways to stimulate learning and continually striving to improve the way we teach.
  • Our emphasis on enquiry-based approaches, both within and beyond traditional learning environments, means we’re quick to implement new technologies wherever we believe they will be beneficial.
  • We are looking to develop well-rounded students with 21st century skills who are ready for an increasingly globalized world.
