We prepare our students for the Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE examination and follow the curriculum guidelines issued by National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). We integrate the best practices/ methodologies while delivering the curriculum.

We are also introducing the International Baccalaureate’s (IB) Primary Years Program (PYP) from next academic year i.e. 2019-20

The School timings for-

Grades 1 onward                    8 am to 3 pm i.e. 7 hours

Pre K.G.                                   9.10 to 11.10 am i.e. 2 hours

K1 and K2                                9.10 am to 1.10 pm i.e. 4 hours

The timing remains the same throughout the year.

No, we don’t have residential facilities but do provide day care for our own students

You don’t need an appointment to visit the School for admission; can walk in anytime between 10 am and 6 pm.

Our first batch of students will be appearing for Secondary School Examination in March 2020.

Yes, every year we will be adding one class till the school has senior secondary.

EYFS – The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old.

 

The Reggio Emilia philosophy is based upon the following set of principles:

Yes, siblings are given preference depending on the availability of a seat and Fee discount is also given.

Below are the steps: Filling up the enquiry form Briefing parents about the school & the fee structure Encouraging them to pick an application kit and blocking the seat by paying blocking amount App fee+ registration fee+ blocking amount will be paid at the accounts counter. Any fee discounts made should be mentioned on the application form with signature.

This is school specific; every counselor should have a printed copy of the fee structure grade wise. Staff discounts also to be kept handy as employees with 1 year plus of service in GEMS can avail some percentage of discounts on their child’s admission.

Yes, we do. Only for admission to grade X and XII we have to seek special permission from the CBSE.

This can be paid at the accounts counter by cash or card.

Yes, but there needs to be a relevant genuine reason for it and you’ll have to give an application stating that for permission.

We follow no refund policy. However this can be decided case to case basis.

We follow Eduvate books for our students till Grade 5 which are in-house and customized for the needs of our students. We don’t subscribe to a publisher but the relevance of the book and its content.

We do not charge anything extra as all of it is inclusive in the fee structure except for charging actual cost for school excursions or specific dress/costume for a particular event in which your ward may be participating.

Yes, we run buses for picking/dropping students on designated routes.

Yes, we do offer after school activities and also over the weekend but which ones we initiate depends on the number of students opting for it.

All teachers are qualified as per the norms and experienced. We have a rigorous system of recruitment wherein after short listing the candidates for any vacancy a written test, interview with subject expert and thereafter with the Principal is conducted.

Yes, we have an in-house training department wherein F2F and online trainings are conducted at regular intervals as per the need analysis. We also conduct monthly teachers test in the specific subject/activity the teacher’s taking to assess the need of training.

Yes. We even send our students on exchange programs to other countries.

No physical/corporal punishment is allowed and we believe that no one has the right to ridicule/humiliate any student. We are sticklers for discipline in conduct and decorum which we practice by inculcating values in our students; also being exemplary to set standards for them.

Safety and security of our students is of utmost concern to us. We have a NO Male police till Grade 5 and as far as possible even for higher classes. No male member is allowed to enter the academic block during school working; if anyone has to go he will be accompanied by the Lady Guard. There is a Lady Guard positioned on all Floors.

The complete school is under CCTV surveillance; police verification is done of all employees; a code of conduct is defined for all employees; sessions are conducted for all on POCSO, Good Touch Bad Touch along with First Aid training; breath analyzer is conducted for all drivers/conductors every day i.e. when they arrive, when they come back after dropping the students and when they have to go for dropping the students.

 

No unauthorized person is allowed in the school premises. Only authorized person is allowed to pick up students from school.

 

We have RIFD Cards and GPS system in our buses which can be tracked through an app by each p[aren’t whose ward is travelling by the school bus.

 

A Safety Committee is also elected every year which also has one parent from each class along with members from the School who meet at least once a quarter and inspect the school safety measures at regular intervals.

We only have weekly tests till grade 4 which are conducted every Wednesday and no syllabus is shared with the parents so that they don’t pass on their stress to the child. The students are assessed from what has been done and practiced in the class.

Grade 5 onward we have periodic and summative assessments too.

Both as per the guidelines issued by the concerned education board.

Yes, we also offer scholarships to students who achieve in the area of other activities as per the set norms of the institute.

The school supports him/her by providing all details of the work done on a regular basis; explain and clear his/her doubts in relation to classes missed; this is done on working Saturdays or after school hours.

We have an ERP App which can be downloaded on your phone wherein daily the work done in the class and the home work given is posted along with any special instructions. All communication is posted on the school ERP.

Parent Teacher Conferences are called at regular intervals (dates given in the Annual Calendar) and Coffee Chats in small groups are conducted twice a year wherein you get an opportunity to interact with the teachers of your ward, Coordinator and the Principal.

In addition, you can meet them for any specific purpose with prior appointment or write to them; contact details along with email ids are shared with all.

Take them on Campus tour and highlight the different facilities in the campus. Define a route and make a list of rooms/labs/places to visit along the route.

The teacher tries to understand the problem area.

She has a F2F meeting with the parents to know/understand the child better.

The student is given individualized attention according to his understanding level.

The student is also encouraged by applauding his/her improvements which motivates him to still do better.

Psychological analysis is also done where required after taking parents approval which supports our efforts.

We have special educators and counsellors on roll.

Where required we refer the students to them after consulting the parents.

A proper diagnosis is done and support provided.

We provide academic support and observations; also arrange for a shadow teacher where required after approval from the parents and the extra cost is borne by the parents.

Observations are conducted regularly and evaluation done at regular interval; the    parents are kept updated about the progress of their child.

If the student needs special therapy or medication the parents are informed and references are given so that the parents can take a call.
